Khedira to miss game against Barcelona
Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira will be missing the game against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The player returned with an injury from international duty with Germany where he picked up a knock. According to the Juventus coach, he was rested for a few days and then played for 30 minutes in the last Juventus game, but unfortunately, he felt some pain.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said that the best thing to do in this case is to rest the player to avoid the injury to aggravate. He said that this would be a massive loss for the team as this will be an important game for Juventus.
Sami Khedira said that he is disappointed for missing such an important game, but there is nothing much he could do. However, he believes that Juventus has some other players that could fit in his shoes and help the team perform.
The midfielder said that this is an exciting season for Juventus as they want to retain their title but he admitted that it would not be easy with teams such as Inter Milan and AC Milan having invested massively in new players.
But he believes that they have the resources as well as the experience in order to win another Serie A title. Sami Khedira said that it was a disappointed for Juventus to have lost the last Champions League final and that they want to make it this time around.
However, the road is still a long one, and they will first have to beat Barcelona. He admitted that it will not be an easy task as the Spanish side has always been a tough opponent but he believes that the Juventus players will give their best on the pitch in order to get a result.
