Sami Khedirastates that we should not write off fellow countryman Bastian Schweinsteiger
Thursday, April 28th, 2016Sami Khedira has warned people about writing off his teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger. The German international is currently suffering from a tear of the ligament in the knee when playing against England. He has only made his comeback for Manchester United in an injury-plagued season and would have love to have a few games to recover his form before the Euros finals.
Khedira, who is captaining the German side in the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger, has warned that there is still time for the player to recover and that he is still capable of playing at the highest level. Khedira, who has also had his own share of injuries in the past, believes that Bastian Schweinsteiger has the necessary mental strength to recover and to be part of the German team that will be going to the Euros.
Sami Khedira, who currently plays for Juventus, has enjoyed a good season so far with the Italian league leaders and will expect that they can end the season in style by clinching the Italian League as well as winning the Euros. He stated that it is an honour for him to captain the side in the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger. (more…)
